"Ellie" pictured at 10 weeks
:: June 2009 ::
"Drama" won another point in Waynesville, NC and is now up to 13 points with both majors at one year of age. He is currently blowing coat and will be back out in the
fall/winter for those last two singles.
:: April 2009 ::
It's been a great year here at Crestar. On April 3, Lochlyn Sweet Dreams (owned and bred by Kathy Wilkins) finished
her championship and made her dam, Kandisweet
Crestar Allure, a ROM. "Neka" is from the very first litter ever
bred at Crestar, and we couldn't be more thrilled with this accomplishment. Her champions include:
- Ch. Crestar New York Minute (by Ch. Aynsworth Silver Moonlight ROM)
- Ch. Kandisweet Crestar Phoenix (by Ch. Aynsworth Silver Moonlight ROM)
- Ch. Lochlyn Chasin' a Dream (by Ch. Lochlyn Dream Catcher - bred and owned by Kathy Wilkins)
- Ch. Crestar Lochlyn Dreamgirl (by Ch. Lochlyn Dream Catcher - bred by and co-owned with Kathy Wilkins)
- Ch. Lochlyn Sweet Dreams (by Ch. Lochlyn Dream Catcher - bred and owned by Kathy Wilkins)
Crestar Entourage, "Drama", is now up to 11 points with both majors at the age of 10 months. He won a 5 point specialty major under judge Sue Christe at the SSC
of SE Florida specialty. He received another specialty win under Jackie Corwin at the SSC of Jacksonville specialty. Thanks to his co-owner and handler Kathy Wilkins
for presenting him so beautifully.
After not having been in the ring since she finished her championship in 2001, we decided to enter "Lena" (our first champion and our foundation bitch) in the 12 and older
Veteran Bitch class at the 2009 ASSA National Specialty. At 13 1/2 years of age, there was only one bitch in the class older than her. Lena place third in the very
competitive class, behind an ASSA National Specialty BOS/AOM winner and an ASSA National Specialty BOB winner. She looked as gorgeous as ever and moved
effortlessly around the ring. She was beautifully presented by Tammie Gabrielson, who also handled her to her championship. Lena is now 14 years of age and enjoys
being the official greeter here at Crestar.
Last but not least, we could not be more excited that Ch. Kandisweet Crestar Phoenix went BEST OF BREED at the 2009 ASSA National Specialty under judge
Guy Jeavons. "Phoenix" is from the 5th litter bred at Crestar. He is sired by Ch. Aynsworth Silver Moonlight ROM and is owned by Ellen Worthington of Aynsworth
Shelties. Special thanks to Ellen for always believing in him and for doing such great things with him. "Phoenix" was beautifully presented to this win by Tammie
Gabrielson. And of course, thanks to judge Guy Jeavons for the win. It's truly a thrill of a lifetime.
:: February 2009 ::
New page added for our latest hopeful, Crestar Entourage ("Drama")
:: January 2009 ::
"Jennifer" finished her championship in Florida by winning a 4 point major under Judge Mrs. Robert D. Smith.
She was shown by Sunway Presentation. Jennifer is
champion number four for her dam, "Neka".
Many thanks to her breeder, Kathy Wilkins (Lochlyn Shelties) for sharing her with us.
"Drama" went to his first show at just over 6 months of age and won BOB under judge Joe Gregory.
At his second show a couple of weeks later, he was awarded a
specialty major reserve at the SSC of GA Specialty under judge Jean Fournier.
:: November 2008 ::
"Jennifer's" sister "Oprah" (Ch. Lochlyn Chasin' a Dream) finished her championship
in style winning two 4 point specialty majors at the Sheltie Cluster in Alabama.
"Oprah"
is champion number three for her dam, "Neka" (Kandisweet Crestar Allure). Congrats
to her breeder Kathy Wilkins (Lochlyn Shelties).
:: July 2008 ::
We have puppies! It's the first litter we've had at Crestar in almost 3 years and we're very excited.
Ch. Lochlyn Dream Catcher "Nemo" x Crestar Beverly Hills "Tiffany."
The puppies were born on June 12. We have 2 bi-black males, 1 bi-blue male, 2 tri females and 1 bi-black female.
:: April 2008 ::
"Jennifer" is up to 7 points with one major. She was WB at three specialties in the Spring of 2008.
We can't wait to get her back out to the shows in the Fall of 2008.
:: February 2008 ::
At only her second show, "Jennifer" won a specialty major under judge Nan Bodine.
